Katherine Potter Thompson

Katherine Potter Thompson is a highly accomplished marketing and communications professional with extensive experience across various organizations. As VP of Marketing & Communications at Changemaker Talent since April 2020, Katherine leads strategic initiatives, while concurrently serving as an independent consultant for notable institutions such as Sony Electronics and National Geographic Society. Previous roles include Director of Communications at the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health and Acting Associate Director at Ripple Effect Images, where Katherine developed impactful programs and managed significant projects. Katherine's tenure at National Geographic spanned over seven years, culminating in the position of Director of Programming for National Geographic Live, during which Katherine oversaw talent development and directed marketing efforts globally. With a foundation in creative strategy, Katherine founded Helix Associates and has a proven track record of developing effective brand identities and marketing campaigns for diverse clients. Katherine holds a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Richmond.
