Changes Bristol
Changes Bristol is a peer support mental health charity that provides safe, judgment-free spaces for people wanting to improve their mental wellbeing WHAT CHANGES BRISTOL DO: Changes Bristol has been running mental health peer support services in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES since 2003 and as a registered charity, since 2007, with the charity's expertise helping more and more people each year. We have a number of tiers to our services including weekly peer support groups; specialist peer support groups; 1 to 1 peer befriending; and educational activities providing courses and presentations to organisations and businesses about mental health awareness, Mental Health First Aid and how to set up peer support networks. We are currently providing essential peer support online and face to face groups both online and in person. The meetings are a safe, non-judgemental, confidential and empathetic environment to talk with others who want to improve their mental wellbeing. We aim to remove barriers for those needing support. Our ethos is to help people to help themselves and to provide a space for people to make positive changes in their lives. We have many volunteering opportunities with over 100 volunteers helping the charity at the present time.
