Susan Raymond, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in various organizations. Susan began their career as a Lending Officer at The World Bank, specializing in health, population, and nutrition. Susan then worked at the Center for Public Resources as a Senior Vice President, where they developed public-private partnerships for pharmaceuticals in the developing world and workforce preparation domestically. Susan also worked as a Senior Consultant at the US Agency for International Development, focusing on the health sector. Susan then joined the New York Academy of Sciences as the Director of Public Policy Programs and Director of Strategic Planning, where they developed their public policy program on science and technology and created two publication series. After that, Susan served as the Executive Vice President at Changing Our World, Inc., an international fundraising and philanthropy consulting firm. Currently, they are a Faculty Lecturer at Columbia University. Throughout their career, Susan has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, program development, and advisory roles in science policy.
Susan Raymond, Ph.D. holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Macalester College, along with one year of study at American University in Cairo, Egypt. Susan pursued their graduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in Middle East Studies, Economics, and Political Science, as well as a Ph.D. in Global Health, Economics, and Political Science.
