Waad Alkateab

Waad Alkateab is a filmmaker and media professional with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as a filmmaker at Channel 4 News since June 2016, focusing on COVID-19 reporting and film editing. As the founder of Action For Sama since October 2019, Waad aims to raise awareness about the plight of individuals living under bombardment in Syria. Previously, Waad worked as the filmmaker, director, and producer of the film "For Sama" from March 2017 to March 2020, and held various roles including M&E Field Specialist at Creative Associates International, Media Coordinator at Al-Quds Hospital, and SGBV Field Coordinator at ARK. Waad started the media career as a media manager at The Mentor Initiative and has freelanced for Al Arabiya News Channel. Waad holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Aleppo University, completed between 2009 and 2012.
