Johnny Law has a diverse and extensive work experience in the media industry. Johnny began their career in 1996 as a TV Listings Editor at PA Media, where they managed magazine clients and the entire TV listings department. Johnny then joined Channel 4 in 2001, initially as a Listings and Online Programme Information Editor, and later took on various roles within the Online Department and Press Website. During their time at Channel 4, they were responsible for managing the production of online brand/programme pages, ensuring VoD assets went live, and maintaining the Channel 4 Press Website. Johnny also played a key role in the launch and development of VoD metadata requirements. In 2020, Johnny worked as a Senior Manager Front Desk at UKTV, and in 2021, they were a Census Officer at the Office for National Statistics. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Sub Editor at Immediate Media Co. In their current role at Channel 5 as the Chief Listings Editor, they oversee the listings and metadata for multiple channels, including Channel 5, 5Select, 5USA, 5Action, and 5Star. Johnny was initially hired as a consultant to bring the listings in-house from a third party. Throughout their career, Johnny has demonstrated excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Johnny Law attended the University of Warwick from 1988 to 1992, where they pursued a degree in English and American Literature with a focus on English Literature. Additionally, in 1996, they briefly studied at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, specializing in Periodical Journalism for Postgraduates. Prior to this, from 1982 to 1987, Johnny Law attended Cranleigh School, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
