Omer Goldberg

Omer Goldberg has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Omer is currently serving as the Founder and CEO of Chaos Labs, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Instagram as a Tech Lead from July 2020 to July 2021, where they focused on developing the mobile experience on Commerce Ads.

Before joining Instagram, Omer worked at Facebook for three years. Omer initially served as a Software Engineer in the internet.org division, where they played a crucial role in developing the ad-based internet model and building a performant Android native video client. Omer then transitioned to the b2b team, where they built the business and network management platform, as well as partner-facing ad analytics insights dashboard. Omer also worked on various partnerships with telecom companies across multiple countries.

In 2018, Omer briefly worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Tech Lead, collaborating with the Operations Research Center to develop an online personalized learning platform for EdX. This platform served thousands of students concurrently and provided online instruction for a popular MOOC called "The Analytics Edge."

Prior to their time at MIT, Omer founded Mindflow.ai, a knowledge management application that generated developer documentation based on workflow. Omer also participated in the Y Combinator Startup School and received mentorship as part of the program.

In 2016, Omer worked as an Algorithms and Fullstack Lecturer at Israel Tech Challenge, and in 2015, they founded and served as the CEO of JoiRyde Ltd., a social ride-sharing application for college campuses. Omer led the company's business execution and mobile strategy/development.

Before entering the tech industry, Omer founded Creative Engineering Boutique, a digital agency focused on delivering high-quality software solutions to clients, including startups.

Omer Goldberg started their education in 2013 at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science with a focus on Information Technology. Omer completed their studies in 2017. In 2015, they also attended Fullstack Academy, obtaining a certification in Computer Software Engineering.

In terms of additional certifications, Omer obtained a certification in Developing iOS Applications from Stanford University in October 2019. Omer also received the Google Android Developer Scholarship from Google in August 2018. In June 2018, they participated in the MIT Media Labs, Digital Currency Initiative Prototyping Forum in Berlin, organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Omer achieved the 1st Place in a Blockchain implementation competition organized by Kin Ecosystem in January 2018. Additionally, they completed the Startup School program offered by Y Combinator in June 2017. In September 2015, Omer secured the 1st Place in the Com.Unity 6 Week Hackathon, a national technology competition organized by COM.UNITY NPO. Finally, Omer was awarded the Dean's List Academic Excellence recognition at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2015.
