Philipp Weitz

Philipp Weitz has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to 2020. Philipp started their career as a Student Employee at Verigy, where they worked on various projects involving C, C++, and Electronics. Philipp then became a Development Engineer at Verigy, where they developed new features for high-speed-memory (HSM) test solutions.

Following this, Philipp joined Arcusys as a Trainee and later became a Software Specialist. At Arcusys, they implemented Liferay-based web solutions and developed custom Liferay portlets using JSP and Vaadin. Philipp worked with various backend technologies and front-end technologies such as JavaScript and CSS.

Philipp also had an Internship at VNGRS, where they continued the development of an online mobile application test service. This involved working with Ruby-on-Rails Web API, Flask server, and Amazon Lambda for implementing a micro-service architecture.

Philipp then worked at the University of Tampere as a Research Assistant, where they collaborated with AAC and Fukoku on projects related to actuator testing and haptic interaction technology.

Philipp also worked as a Freelance at Valet Manager, where they developed a customer portal and implemented a component library for managing monthly valet parking payments.

Philipp then joined Futurice as a Software Developer and worked as a full-stack web developer consultant on international projects. Philipp gained experience in Typescript, React-Native, NodeJS, Kotlin, MS-Teams-Apps, Android, Webpack, Docker, Microservices, CI-Pipelines, AWS, and Serverless.

Most recently, Philipp became a Technical Lead at CHAOS, where they currently work.

Philipp Weitz completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Information Technology from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) between the years 2007 and 2010. Later, they pursued their MSc in Software Development with a minor in Human-Technology Interaction at the University of Tampere from 2013 to 2016.
