Colleen Sharkey

Colleen Sharkey is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media management and relations across various prestigious organizations. Currently serving as Media Manager at Chapin Hall since November 2022, Colleen develops media strategies to promote the organization's impact on addressing adversity and inequity. Prior roles include Assistant Director of Media Relations at the University of Notre Dame, where promotion of academic research was a key focus, and International Media Relations Manager at Central European University, specializing in crisis communications and media training. Early career highlights include working as an Outreach Coordinator/Public Information Officer for the Hubble Space Telescope and roles at Occidental College and Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where Colleen enhanced media visibility for significant scientific achievements. Colleen holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Cincinnati and also attended California State University.
