Shirley Tipton is a seasoned professional in consultancy, learning and development, and human resources with over two decades of experience. Currently serving as Principal at Two Sparrows since January 2001, Tipton specializes in employee relations, coaching, strategic planning, and instructional design for adult learners. Involved with Our Community LISTENS since 2012, Tipton has played a pivotal role as a faculty member, facilitator, and coach, contributing to the organization's international expansion. Previous roles include executive positions in various non-profits and as Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Higher Education, where Tipton liaised with public institutions. A former County Commissioner for La Plata County, Tipton holds multiple certifications and degrees, including professor certification from Barry-Wehmiller University and education from prestigious institutions such as Harvard Kennedy School and Sul Ross State University.
