Sr. UX Designer & Researcher In Data And User Services at Orange County Library System

Amy VanSchaik, PhD, currently serves as a Senior UX Designer and Researcher in Data and User Services at the Orange County Library System, a position held since November 2008. The role includes launching and improving the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) and enhancing usability through testing and issue identification. With previous experience in various UX roles and web development, including a focus on usability and user-centered design, Amy also contributed to digital marketing campaigns as a Production Designer and Web Designer for notable companies prior to rejoining the Orange County Library System. Amy holds a PhD in Texts and Technology, along with a Master's in Film and Digital Media and a Bachelor's in Digital Arts/Fine Arts from the University of Central Florida and Stetson University respectively.
