Shima Shayanfar

Shima Shayanfar serves as a Sr. Manager and Principal Scientist at Herbalife Nutrition since June 2021, focusing on innovation and formulation development in food and supplements. Additionally, Shima is an Adjunct Professor at Chapman University and has previously worked as a Culinary & Product Development Consultant for The Red Chickz, a Sr. Research & Innovation Scientist at Califia Farms, and a Sr. Innovation, Technology and Quality Scientist at General Mills. Expertise includes leading cross-functional teams in R&D projects, particularly in plant-based food and nutraceuticals, as well as managing food safety and product stability initiatives. Shima has a rich academic background with a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from Texas A&M University and has been involved in various international projects and technical symposia throughout a dynamic career in the food industry.
