Ashley Trout, CPA, currently serves as the Director of Internal Audit - IT and Analytics at UHS since October 2018, with prior roles including Assistant Director and Manager in the same department. Ashley's experience with UHS also includes positions as Senior Internal Auditor and Internal Auditor from October 2011 to March 2014. Before UHS, Ashley worked as a Senior Decision Support Analyst and Supervisor of Audit Services at Trinity Health (HQ Michigan) from April 2014 to October 2018, and as an Accountant at EnergyPlus Company. In addition to professional roles, Ashley serves as a Branch Leader/Volunteer for the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association since January 2015. Ashley's educational background includes a Master's degree in Business Intelligence and Analytics from Saint Joseph's University, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and studies at Delaware County Community College.

Mission Our mission is to generate the resources to find a cure, to create awareness, and to improve the quality of life for those affected by Charcot-Marie-Tooth. The time is now: Our vision is a world without CMT! Description Charcot-Marie-Tooth, or CMT, is the most commonly inherited peripheral neuropathy and is found worldwide among all races and ethnic groups. Discovered in 1886 by three physicians, Jean-Martin Charcot, Pierre Marie, and Howard Henry Tooth, CMT affects an estimated 2.8 million people. General Information The CMTA is a 501(C)(3)nonprofit organization founded in 1983 whose goals are patient support, public education, promotion of research and ultimately the treatment and cure of CMT. A voluntary Board of Directors governs the CMTA. The Medical Advisory Board of the CMTA consists of over 50 clinical and research medical professionals. This international group of men and women are noted CMT experts in neurology, genetics, orthopedic surgery, physiatry, physical therapy and podiatry. The CMTA currently has more than 20,000 patients and families, supportive friends, and medical professionals in its database.
