Ernest Anim MIET

Ernest Anim MIET has a strong background in quality engineering and has held various roles in well-known companies. Ernest started their career as a Design Engineer at Cosworth in 2009 and then moved on to work as a Process Engineering Specialist at Alumasc Precision Ltd from 2010 to 2012. In this role, they were responsible for spearheading NPI projects and implementing Lean Six Sigma techniques.

After that, Ernest worked as a Supplier Quality Engineer at Magna International from 2012 to 2014, where they led supplier meetings, directed NPI projects, and prepared monthly reports. Ernest also reduced supplier concerns using KPIs and implemented Lean Six Sigma to decrease waste production.

From 2014 to 2017, Ernest served as a Lead Quality Engineer at IM KELLY LTD. In this role, they conducted internal and external audits, managed suppliers, and led 8D meetings for continuous improvements. Ernest also developed PFMEA, control plans, process flow, and standardized work instructions.

Ernest then joined Lear Corporation in 2017 as a Project Quality Engineer, where they were responsible for PPAP documentation, leading 8D activities, conducting internal audits, and analyzing production data using Minitab.

In the same year, they also worked as a Quality Engineer at BMW Group, supporting the migration of quality standards and overseeing quality process control within the machining area. Ernest also conducted product defect analysis and implemented core quality tools to resolve issues.

From 2018 to 2020, Ernest worked as a Supplier Quality Engineer (MSO) at McLaren Automotive Ltd. In this role, they managed over 100 suppliers, conducted 8D investigations, developed process quality plans, and carried out failure analysis. Ernest also implemented corrective actions and ensured supplier approval, along with performing various quality tests and creating quality documentation.

Most recently, Ernest joined Singer Vehicle Design in 2020 as a Senior SQA Engineer. In this position, they played a key role in ensuring the quality of products by implementing effective control measures and conducting quality audits.

Ernest is currently working at CHARGE CARS as an SQA Engineer starting in 2023.

Ernest Anim MIET completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Engineering from the University of Northampton, which took place from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued a Foundation degree in Electromechanical Engineering at Bedford College from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Ernest Anim MIET obtained a certification in ISO 9001:2015 - Lead Auditor from Bywater in July 2020.
