Leah Erb has over 30 years of work experience in the technology industry. Leah began their career in 1991 as an Oracle DBA Consultant for CTG - Computer Task Group. This position required 100% travel. In 1993, they became a Primary Oracle DBA Consultant for Bien Technologies Inc., where they co-owned a consulting firm specializing in Oracle Database and Oracle Financials Administration. Her customers included Boeing, Frank Russell Company, and John I. Haas, Inc. In 1998, they took on a contract role as an Investigator for the Society of Counsel Representing Accused Persons, where they interviewed defenders, victims, police officers, and witnesses, and wrote incident reports, witness statements, and opinion memos. In 1999, they became Lead Oracle DBA for Homegrocer, where they built Oracle systems for a fast-paced e-commerce company with high-growth, integrated databases. In 2000, they were Senior Oracle DBA for Terabeam, where they built Oracle infrastructure for over 40 databases in rapid development. In 2003, they became a Senior Oracle DBA Consultant for AT&T, where they were the primary DBA on 25 Oracle databases in full life-cycle development. In 2006, they were a Senior Oracle DBA for Getty Images, where they managed full life-cycle database development of 40+ applications on multiple platforms. In 2020, they became a Back-end Developer for Smarticles, where they were a member of an all-female startup specializing in voice applications for the social-emotional well-being of children. In 2021, Leah Erb began working as a Full-stack Developer for ChargeNet Stations.

Leah Erb has a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Earlham College, which they obtained between 1983 and 1988. Leah has also completed several Nanodegree programs from Udacity, including Cloud DevOps Engineering, Deep Learning, Data Analyst, and Data Foundations. Leah is currently enrolled in the Data Engineering Nanodegree program. In addition to their educational degrees and programs, Leah has obtained several certifications, including SUSE Cloud Native Fundamentals Scholarship Program, Bertelsmann Technology Scholarship Program - Cloud Track, PyTorch Scholarship Challenge, Bertelsmann Data Science Challenge Scholarship Course, and R Developer Track.
