Marvin L. Jones

Marvin L. Jones, Ed.D., serves as the Chief of Schools at Charles County Public Schools since July 2022, following a tenure as Executive Director of Schools from July 2013 to June 2022. During this time, Marvin L. Jones contributed significantly to the evolution of virtual learning by collaborating with educational leaders to enhance technology distribution, teacher training, and the management of student meal programs, as well as planning for school reopening. Previous roles include Vice Principal and Principal within the Charles County Board of Education from 2000 to 2013, and Public School Teacher at Prince George's County Public Schools from 1992 to 2000. Marvin L. Jones holds a Doctor of Education from Delaware State University, a Master's in Educational Leadership from Bowie State University, and a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
