Chris Schmidt III (Louis)

Chris (Louis) Schmidt III has extensive experience in law enforcement and emergency management, serving at the Charles County Sheriff's Office since October 1998 in various capacities, including Support Services Division Commander and Special Operations Division Commander. In addition, Chris Schmidt has held positions as an Adjunct Instructor at the Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission since November 2016 and as a Hazmat Technician with Charles County Emergency Services from April 2008 to July 2020. Chris Schmidt also has a background in broadcasting, having worked as a color analyst and play-by-play commentator for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs and as a broadcaster for Baynet/The Phoenix Radio. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus and an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the College of Southern Maryland.
