Charles Day has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Charles began their career in 1983 as a Field Artillery Officer in the US Army. From 1991 to 1995, they served as a Weapon Systems Manager in the same organization. In 1994, Charles became an Adjunct Faculty at the US Army Management Engineering College, where they remained until 1997.

In 1995, Charles founded their own company called Charles F. Day & Associates LLC, where they held the position of Chief Executive Officer. In the same year, they also served as the President / CEO of Charles F. Day & Associates. The company mainly focused on portfolio, program, and project management, education and training, information technology management and services, and doctrine development. Over the years, the company has shifted its focus to information technologies, particularly agent-based modeling and simulation.

Additionally, Charles was a Guest Lecturer at the Information Resource Management College of the National Defense University from 2009 to 2013. Throughout their career, Charles has gained extensive expertise in various fields, including defense, information technology, and education.

Charles Day has a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University. Charles also holds an MBA in Business from St. Ambrose University and a BS in Management from Purdue University Daniels School of Business. Charles obtained the certifications of Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute and FA 51 Research & Development Management US Army from the Defense Acquisition University. Charles also has a certification in Lean Manufacturing from the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
