James Cunningham

James Cunningham is a seasoned legal professional serving as a shareholder at Williams, Williams, Rattner & Plunkett, P.C. since January 1986. Additionally, James holds positions on the boards of trustees for the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History and the Birmingham Museum, both roles established in 2012 and 2017 respectively. As an adjunct professor at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School since 2006, James teaches Family Law. James's military service includes holding the rank of Lieutenant in the US Navy from 1971 to 1977. Academically, James earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Brown University.
