Derek Plourde has a significant work experience in the banking industry, starting in 1994 as a Financial Analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston. Derek then worked at Fleet National Bank as a Vice President, Associate Relationship Manager from 1995 to 2002. After that, they joined Sovereign Bank as a Vice President, Relationship Manager and stayed there until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, Derek worked at First Trade Union Bank as a Vice President - Team Leader Specialty Lending. Following this, they joined Bank of America as a Senior Vice President - Special Assets Group, where they worked for eight years from 2010 to 2018. Currently, Derek holds the position of President & CEO at Charles River Bank, where they started in 2022. Prior to this role, they also served as an Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer and as a Senior Vice President & Senior Commercial Lending Officer at Charles River Bank.
Derek Plourde attended Bowdoin College from 1991 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Government & Legal Studies. In 2019, they enrolled in the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, which they completed in 2022. Additionally, in 2022 Derek obtained a Certificate of Executive Leadership from the Wisconsin School of Business.
