Mark Jones

Mark Jones is an experienced professional in the field of bioscience, currently serving as the Director of Scientific Services and Site Director at Charles River Laboratories since May 2018. Prior to this role, Mark held multiple directorial positions within the organization, including Director of Technical Operation and Business Development, Director of Biosafety Testing, and Associate Director of Biosafety Testing. Mark's previous experience includes serving as a Senior Scientist and Group Head of Protein Biochemistry at Fraunhofer USA Center for Molecular Biotechnology, where responsibilities included establishing a bioanalytical characterization laboratory and supporting protein production R&D. Additional roles include a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Thomas Jefferson University and Director of Research Instruments at Sapidyne Instruments. Mark holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Tulane University and a BS in Chemistry from Berry College.
