Literacy and Language Learning Scientist at LXD Research at Charles River Media Group

Kathleen Richards has extensive experience in the field of education and learning sciences. Kathleen currently works at Charles River Media Group as a Literacy and Language Learning Scientist, where they evaluate and improves early literacy and English learner curricula and assessment programs. Prior to this, Kathleen held the position of Senior Learning Scientist at Amira Learning, where they played a key role in expanding an AI-based reading assistant for K-5 students. Kathleen also worked at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as a Senior Learning Scientist, providing expertise in language arts, social studies, and world languages. Kathleen's earlier experience includes roles at Amplify, AJE - American Journal Experts, Technical Career Institutes, The Graduate Center at City University of New York (CUNY), New York University, and the University of Delaware, all of which contributed to their expertise in language, literacy, and psychology research.

Kathleen Richards completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from New York University, majoring in Psychology, French, and Sociology. Kathleen attended New York University from 2003 to 2007. Subsequently, they pursued further education at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, where they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Linguistics, studying there from 2008 to 2011. In addition to their academic achievements, Kathleen Richards also obtained a certification in Negotiation Foundations from LinkedIn in May 2019.
