Stephen W. Vessells

Steve Vessells is part of a four-person team that manages Mott’s assets. A Michigan native, he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance at Oakland University. Vessells was hired by the Foundation right out of college and became Mott’s first investment administrator in 1988. He returned to Oakland University to earn a Master of Business Administration in 1992 and, after years of study, was awarded the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Vessells is active in his profession and community. He is a past president of the CFA Society of Detroit, and serves as trustee at Highland Park Baptist Church, where his family worships.
