Jock Cheetham is a seasoned academic and journalist with extensive experience in media education and training. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in News and Media as well as Journalism at Charles Sturt University since February 2017, Jock previously contributed as a Tutor in the Department of Media and Communications at the University of Sydney in 2016. Jock's professional background includes a significant role as Editorial Training Manager at Fairfax Media from 2008 to 2015, where responsibilities encompassed designing and managing editorial training programs for the Sydney Morning Herald and Australian Financial Review, overseeing a $300K budget, and fostering the development of over 30 trainees into full-time newsroom positions.
