Mary Coe

Mary Coe is an experienced editor and indexing professional with a longstanding career in the field. Since January 2018, Mary has served as an Editor for The Indexer, which publishes scholarly articles on indexing practices. Concurrently, at Charles Sturt University, Mary holds positions as an Adjunct Lecturer and Research Assistant, contributing to academic literature and organizing conferences. Mary is the owner of Indexing Services, specializing in database and book indexing across various subjects, with over 500 titles indexed. Previous roles include Metadata Specialist at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare and website indexer at NPS MedicineWise. Notably, Mary held leadership positions within the Australian and New Zealand Society of Indexers. Mary earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Science/Studies from Charles Sturt University and has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Trinity College.
