Robert Brooks

Senior Lecturer (adjunct) Community Medicine at Charles Sturt University

Robert Brooks is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in public health and community medicine. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and a Senior Lecturer (Adjunct) in Community Medicine at Charles Sturt University, Brooks also holds the position of Senior Visiting Fellow at the School of Psychology UNSW, where responsibilities include designing and supervising the Community Safety Research project. As Deputy Director of the Harvard Program for Refugee Trauma, Brooks consults on statistical analyses for traumatized communities and is involved in developing a certificate in Global Mental Health Trauma & Recovery. Previous roles include Director at RTB Consulting and Research Director at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Healing Foundation. Brooks holds a PhD in Public Health and Psychometrics from UNSW and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Western Australia.
