John Keeney

John joined Charlesbank in 2022 from Carlyle, where he served as principal and chief of staff to the CEO. He was previously a vice president at M2O Private Fund Advisors, a boutique placement agent and advisory firm, where he led project management of fundraising activities for GPs across private equity, private credit and real assets. Prior to that, John was a member of the investor relations team at Carlyle, focused on fundraising project management across multiple asset classes and managed accounts.

Originally from upstate New York, John currently resides in Park Slope with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, attempting to improve his golf game, fishing and hunting.
