Steve Hamer

Steve Hamer, PE, currently serves as an Associate for Facilities Management at Charleston County School District since September 2022. A member of the Society of American Military Engineers since 1993, Steve previously held positions including Federal Programs Consultant at Steve Hamer, LLC, and President of CEC/Seabee Historical Foundation. As Executive Director of the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association, Steve managed scholarships for children of Naval Civil Engineer Corps officers. Notable roles in the United States Navy include Commanding Officer of Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast, Maritime Headquarters Director at Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, and Deputy Executive Assistant to the Vice Chief of Naval Operations. Steve holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland.
