Andrew Emmett has extensive experience in orchestral performance and education, serving as Associate Concertmaster for Roanoke Opera since April 2008 and holding positions as Section Violin with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and Roanoke Symphony Orchestra since May 2013 and September 2010, respectively. Emmett has also been a Section Violin 1 with the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra since May 1986 and taught violin at the Community Music School from September 2007 to May 2014. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Concertmaster with the Winston-Salem Symphony from May 1986 to May 2014 and as a violinist with North Carolina Opera from 2000 to 2006. Emmett's educational background includes studies at The University of New Mexico from 1978 to 1981 and Eastern New Mexico University from 1975 to 1977.
