Lynn Laplante

Lynn LaPlante is a seasoned music professional and arts advocate currently serving as a Commissioner for DuPage County since December 2020. With a lengthy career as a guest artist violinist and violist for the Charleston Symphony Orchestra since May 2000, Lynn also held the position of Principal Violist with the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic from April 2002 to December 2020 and performed as a Violinist/Violist with the Chicago Philharmonic from May 2002 to May 2015. Academic credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Violin Performance from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
