Abbie Gelwicks

Abbie Gelwicks is an experienced veterinary technician currently serving as a Training Supervisor at Charleston Veterinary Referral Center since September 2019. Prior to this role, Abbie worked as a CCU/ER Technician at UW-Madison Veterinary Teaching Hospital from January 2016 to August 2019, and as a Customer Service Representative/Veterinary Assistant at Veterinary Emergency Services from November 2014 to December 2015, where responsibilities included phone triage for incoming patients. Abbie's earlier experience includes serving as an Administrative Support/Library Assistant at Globe University while pursuing an Associate's Degree in Veterinary/Animal Health Technology/Technician and Veterinary Assistant from 2013 to 2015, and working as a Cleaning Assistant at Animal Hospital of Verona. Abbie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Business and Management with a minor in Crop and Soil Science from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, obtained from 2012 to 2013, and a General Education degree from Milledgeville High School.
