Spencer Disher

Spencer Disher boasts extensive experience in finance, education, and community service. Currently, Spencer serves as a member of the Board of Directors for NC IDEA and holds the position of Adjunct Professor at Johnson & Wales University. Spencer has been involved with Innovate Charlotte as a mentor and serves as the Chair of the Board for Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region. As an Executive Board Member of the Charlotte Angel Fund, Spencer focuses on providing investment capital primarily to early and mid-stage enterprises in North Carolina and the Southeastern United States. Spencer's consulting work spans over a decade, offering financial and strategic guidance to startups in the Charlotte area. Previous roles include Senior Vice President Portfolio Manager at Natixis, Senior Associate at Deutsche Bank, and Engineer at ExxonMobil. Spencer holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Charlotte Angel Fund

Charlotte Angel Fund is a member-driven angel investment fund designed to make investments in early stage high growth companies. The fund is a part of the Inception Micro Angel Fund (IMAF) family of funds.Members of the fund are individuals who are accredited investors with an interest in making investments in early stage companies. The fundconsists of a buy-in portion in which members share pro-rata based upon their initial capital contribution, and an add-on portion through which members can direct additional investment towards portfolio companies of particular interest to the individual member.
