Ashley Suttlar Martin is a highly experienced Teaching Artist, Director, and Adjunct Faculty member in the fields of dance and performing arts. With a background in Dance Performance & Choreography, Ashley Suttlar has taught at various institutions including Charlotte Ballet, Queens University of Charlotte, Winthrop University, and more. Ashley is also a Certified Bokwa Instructor and has extensive experience in modern dance instruction across different age groups.

Charlotte Ballet

Founded in 1970, Charlotte Ballet is known for its strong dancers and versatile repertoire, ranging from classical ballet to bold, contemporary works. The company’s professional dancers annually present performances in Charlotte, N.C., during a season spanning from October to May. Hope Muir has served as Artistic Director since 2017. Charlotte Ballet Academy trains 700 students annually and the company has nationally recognized educational and community programs. Charlotte Ballet operates the Patricia McBride and Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux Center for Dance in uptown Charlotte.
