Lauren Suflita-Skrabalak

Dance Faculty at Charlotte Ballet

Lauren Suflita-Skrabalak is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Winthrop University, where Lauren has been teaching since 2013. Lauren is also a Dance Faculty member at Charlotte Ballet since 2010. Additionally, Lauren works as a Pilates Instructor at Iron Butterfly Pilates, teaching various classes and sessions. Prior to these roles, Lauren was a Dancer, Teacher, and Choreographer at Bodiography Contemporary Ballet from August 2002 to September 2009. Lauren holds an Master of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet from the University of Utah.

Charlotte Ballet

Founded in 1970, Charlotte Ballet is known for its strong dancers and versatile repertoire, ranging from classical ballet to bold, contemporary works. The company’s professional dancers annually present performances in Charlotte, N.C., during a season spanning from October to May. Hope Muir has served as Artistic Director since 2017. Charlotte Ballet Academy trains 700 students annually and the company has nationally recognized educational and community programs. Charlotte Ballet operates the Patricia McBride and Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux Center for Dance in uptown Charlotte.
