Chuck Hastings

Chuck Hastings currently serves as President of the North Carolina Gang Investigators Association since January 2023 and has been a Crime Gun Suppression Team Detective with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department since January 2021. Additionally, Chuck has held the role of Taskforce Officer with HSI since April 2018, focusing on state and federal crimes involving gangs and violent groups. Chuck's extensive experience with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department began in October 1998, where a position as Police Officer is held alongside prior roles as Gang Intelligence Detective and participation in the Special Investigations Bureau. From December 2018 to August 2021, Chuck contributed as NCGIA Administrative Vice President, and previously served as Director of Information and Sponsorship Committee Chair for NCGIA from January 2007 to January 2018. In the earlier phase of career involvement with the Safe Streets Task Force lasted from June 2005 to March 2015.
