Kaylee Smith

Kaylee Smith serves as a Crime Scene Investigator at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department since January 2020, responsible for responding to crime scenes and collecting physical evidence. Previously, Kaylee worked as a Forensic Services Technician at the Asheville Police Department, where responsibilities included searching crime scenes and examining physical evidence. Earlier experience includes a role as a Sales and Customer Service Associate at The Elements 4 Life Home and Garden Store, focusing on customer service and inventory management. In addition, Kaylee interned at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, gaining hands-on experience in crime scene investigations. Kaylee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from North Carolina State University, obtained in 2018.
