Lindsey Smith has extensive experience in education, particularly within the realm of Health and Physical Education. Since July 2003, Lindsey has served as a Health & Physical Education Teacher K-12 at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, developing and facilitating innovative Physical Education curricula that promote high student participation and enjoyment. Previous roles include AVID Elective Teacher for grades 6-8, where strategies catered to developing a college-ready culture, and Physical Education Teacher for grades 6-8, with a focus on gender-specific classes that also achieved significant participation rates. As Lead Health Education Teacher, Lindsey implemented a Healthful Living curriculum to equip adolescents with essential skills for making healthier choices. Additionally, Lindsey worked as Head Volleyball and Soccer Coach, emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship. Earlier experience includes a tenure at Carteret Public Schools as a Physical Education Teacher K-12, where foundational skills were developed for younger students. Lindsey earned a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Appalachian State University.
