Philip Carey

Philip Carey has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a Learning & Language Acquisition Specialist at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since 2015, where responsibilities have included instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning. Previous positions within the same organization encompassed roles as a Curriculum & Digital Integration Specialist and a Technology Resource Teacher. Philip has also contributed as a Curriculum Developer for 100 Gardens and taught various grades, including 4th and 5th grades, in different school districts. Philip's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from North Carolina State University, complemented by earlier studies at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. Notably, Philip has a strong focus on student engagement and innovative project-based learning in the STEAM fields.
