Cassie Townsend has over a decade of experience in digital media and content management, currently serving as the Director of Digital Media and Content for the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority since December 2015. In this role, Cassie oversees the strategic direction and execution of integrated digital marketing plans, enhancing Charlotte's tourism brand and associated entities like the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the Charlotte Convention Center. Prior to this position, Cassie held various roles at Catalyst Public Relations, where responsibilities included launching Xbox's digital influencer outreach program and supporting the Halo Master Chief Collection launch. Additional experience includes a short tenure as a Social Media Consultant for Citizen Relations, leading initiatives for the 9/11 National Day of Service, and serving as an Account Executive at Gibbs & Soell, where media relations and content creation were key focuses. Cassie earned a degree in Communication with a specialization in Public Relations from Florida State University in 2008.
