Mark Thornton

Mark Thornton has extensive experience in soccer coaching and operations, serving as the Director of Operations and Director of Coaching at Charlotte Soccer Academy since May 2008. In this role, Mark has overseen various age group programs, including the Director of Academy Girls U9-U11 and Director of U13/U14 boys. Mark's administrative responsibilities encompass managing operations at the CSA North Complex, coordinating referees, assigning fields, acting as a liaison with Parks and Recreation, and coordinating CSA soccer camps. Prior to their tenure at Charlotte Soccer Academy, Mark held the position of Director of Coaching at Concorde Fire Soccer Club from 2004 to 2008. Mark holds a degree from Appalachian State University, earned between 2000 and 2004.
