Arthur Watson

Arthur Watson has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Arthur began their career as a Portfolio Analyst at Thomas White International in 2006, where they researched advertising and marketing strategies and played a key role in launching the company's website. In 2009, they worked as a Hedge Fund Intern at DLS Capital Management, conducting research on investments. That same year, they also served as an MBA Consultant at PTC, providing recommendations on utilizing social media and a freemium model for online education offerings.

Watson continued to expand their knowledge and skills, becoming a Finance Intern at Petrel Biosensors in 2010, where they developed marketing plans and financial projections. Arthur also joined Walnut Venture Associates as an Angel Group Associate, organizing monthly meetings for angel investors and entrepreneurs. In 2012, they became a Member of Hyde Park Angels, a role they held until 2020.

Watson's leadership abilities were demonstrated when they became the Director of Marketing Strategy at Thomas White International in 2012. In this position, they designed and implemented the firm's first financial advisor client servicing program and oversaw marketing efforts such as SEO, SEM, email campaigns, and online advertising. Additionally, they served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Castle Hill Gaming from 2013 and became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 2016.

In 2015, Watson became the Founding President of the Charlottesville Angel Network. Arthur also gained valuable experience during their time as an MBA Fellow at Babson College from 2009 to 2011. Throughout their career, Watson has continuously honed their skills in finance, marketing, and leadership, making him a valuable asset in various organizations.

Arthur Watson completed their AA in Liberal Arts from Bard College at Simon's Rock in 2000. Arthur then pursued a BS in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Virginia from 2000 to 2003. Later, from 2009 to 2011, they obtained an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
