Zainab Ali

Zainab Ali currently serves as an Executive-In-Residence at the Charter School Growth Fund since March 2022 and previously held the position of Advisory Board Member at Subject from November 2022 to July 2023. Zainab Ali was the Chief of Staff at Alliance College-Ready Public Schools from February 2016 to March 2022, leading a ten-member team and collaborating with the executive team to shift the focus towards college graduation outcomes. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Strategy Officer, Chief of Staff, and COO at Camden City School District, overseeing operations for 26 schools, and serving as Director of Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the Chancellor at NYC Department of Education. Zainab Ali's earlier roles include Special Assistant to Chancellor Dennis M. Walcott and various positions at the LA's BEST After School Enrichment Program. Zainab Ali holds a Master of Public Administration from NYU and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Public Affairs from UCLA.
