Barry Kirby

Barry Kirby is currently the President of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors, where he also serves as a Council Member and Trustee. He is the current President Elect and the Skynet 6 Human Factors Integration (HFI) Lead at Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S). Additionally, he is the Managing Director at K Sharp Ltd, specializing in Human Science Research and Human Factors consulting. In the past, Barry has held positions as an Advisor at Fleet-e, HCI Lead at BAE Systems for the Dreadnought programme, and as a Human Factors Engineer at BAE Systems (Submarines). He was also a Labour Parliamentary Candidate and County Councillor for Gloucestershire County Council. Barry has a BEng(Hons) in Command and Control, Communication and Information Systems from RMCS, Shrivenham.
