Doug Hicken

Doug Hicken has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Doug most recently held the position of Vice President Operations at Chatbooks, starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they served as Sr. Director Of Operations at Chatbooks from August 2020 to November 2021. In their role as Director Of Operations from May 2017 to August 2020, Doug was responsible for overseeing customer support and all aspects of order fulfillment at Chatbooks.

Before joining Chatbooks, Doug worked at Grow.com, where they served as Vice President Operations and played a crucial role in the company's rapid growth. During their time at Grow.com, Doug was involved in various areas, including operations, finance, HR, and legal. Doug successfully raised $1 million in Series A funding and managed a team of 85 employees.

Doug also has experience as a Co-Founder and CEO of Litem Analytics, a startup they founded in 2015. Additionally, they worked as the Director of VC Relations at BYU Cougar Capital, where they oversaw 11 investments and deployed over $500,000 in capital.

Earlier in their career, Doug held roles as the President of the Graduate Entrepreneurship Association at Brigham Young University, an Associate Intern at Peterson Ventures, a Finance and Risk Consulting Analyst at Accenture, a Research Assistant/Statistical Consultant at BYU, and a Sales Representative at APX Alarm Security Solutions Inc.

Throughout their career, Doug has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a track record of success in various areas such as fundraising, operations management, and venture capital.

Doug Hicken completed their Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Business Management, and Spanish at Brigham Young University from 2008 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Brigham Young University from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, they attended Dev Mountain for a Web Development Bootcamp, specializing in Full stack development.
