Sean Columbus

Sean Columbus, Ec.D., B.T.S (Hons) is an accomplished Economic Development Officer, currently serving the Municipality of Chatham-Kent since October 2023 and also holding the position of Director at the Economic Developers Council of Ontario since February 2025. With a strong background in economic development, investment attraction, and business retention and expansion, Sean has previously worked for Middlesex County and the Town of Georgina, where responsibilities included managing community improvement programs, developing partnerships, and creating strategies for various sectors. Sean's career began in sales and customer service in the beverage industry and includes roles in tourism, media sales, and recreation programming, underpinned by a Bachelor of Tourism Studies from Brock University and ongoing education in Economic Development at the University of Waterloo.
