Tamara K. has extensive work experience in the non-profit sector. From 2008 to 2016, they worked at the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta, where they served as the Membership/Marketing Director. In this role, they successfully grew membership to 3,700 units, managed a $2.4 million annual budget, and generated $120,000 through innovative programming for children. Tamara also led a team of 50 employees and raised $8,500 during the annual campaign. In 2017, Tamara joined the Chattahoochee Nature Center, Inc. as a Special Event Manager. Tamara then assumed the position of Senior Director of Special Events & Marketing in December 2018.
Tamara K. attended Dorsey Magnet High School from 1990 to 1993. From 1993 to 1998, they attended Morris Brown College where they studied Early Childhood Education and Teaching.

The Chattahoochee Nature Center's (CNC) mission is to connect people with nature. Being outdoors is more important than ever to our communities' health and well-being. At CNC, visitors of all ages have 127-acres to safely explore and endless opportunities to connect with nature while learning about Georgia's ecosystem. CNC features three ponds, six woodland and wetland trails, including a newly renovated 2,000-foot river boardwalk. We offer a space for quiet, reflective moments, or more active options such as hiking, ziplining, or canoeing. CNC also offers programs involving rehabilitated native wildlife, horticulture, photography, art, and more.
