George Clark has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. From 2013, they worked as the Director of Career Services at Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area, where they focused on developing employment opportunities for clients facing barriers to employment, particularly individuals with disabilities. Prior to that, George worked at MAXIMUS as a Senior Outreach Representative from 2008 to 2013, where they fulfilled outreach responsibilities. From 2002 to 2008, they served as a TANF Caseworker at the Tennessee Department of Human Services, primarily assisting families with deprived children and managing confidential caseloads related to state employees. George's earliest work experience was at Hobbs Staffing Services, where they started as a recruiter in 1989 and worked their way up to becoming the Operations Manager. During their time there, the company expanded and opened a second office in Dayton, Tennessee in 1990.

George Clark received their Diploma from Chattanooga Central High School from 1971 to 1976. George then went on to attend The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 1976 to 1981, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology. In addition to their formal education, George also obtained certifications in NAWDP (National Association of Workforce Development Professionals) in November 2012 and Co-Employment Law from the American Staffing Association in July 1995.
