Amanda Gates

Amanda Gates is currently the Personnel Manager at Chautauqua Institution and a Violinist at Virginia Symphony Orchestra as well as the Assistant Concertmaster. Amanda also holds the position of Chair in Instrumental Music at GOVERNOR'S SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS. Previously, Amanda has worked as the Executive Director at Bay Youth Orchestras of Virginia, and as a Webmaster/Social Media Manager at New Mexico Philharmonic. Additionally, Amanda has experience as a Substitute Electric Violinist at Windborne Music and as an Arranger/Composer at emberghost; Royal Family Productions. Amanda is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Music Education with a focus on Orchestra Conducting at Old Dominion University, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from The Catholic University of America.
