Dr. Pichardo earned her medical degree from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and completed her Premedical Education at the University of Puerto Rico. She has more than 25 years of experience working in primary care, focusing on meeting the needs of uninsured and underinsured patients in multiple community settings. She has been with Community Health Centers since 2015.
Prior to her role as Chief Medical Officer, she served as Chief of Quality, where she was responsible for quality improvement and assurance functions within the system. Before joining Community Health Centers, Dr. Pichardo served as a senior physician with the Osceola County Health Department and as a Senior Physician and Chief Health Officer for the Florida Department of Corrections. Dr. Pichardo is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is on the Board of the Physicians Society of Central Florida.
