David Vega

David Vega, MD, MBA has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. David has held various roles at WellSpan Health, starting as an Emergency Medicine Resident in 2002 and eventually becoming the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer in 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs. David also held leadership positions such as Medical Director and Chair of Emergency Medicine, Interim Chair of Emergency Medicine, and Vice Chair of Emergency Medicine. Additionally, they have served as a Board Member for Garden Spot Communities, Preferred Health Care, and Northern Lancaster County Physician Hospital Alliance. David was also the Chief Executive Officer of Historical Holdings, LLC. David Vega has been actively involved in professional organizations, serving on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) and the York County Medical Society. David also served as a CME Commission Member and Site Surveyor for the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Overall, they have a diverse background in healthcare management and leadership roles.

David Vega, MD, MBA obtained their MD degree from Penn State College of Medicine in 2002. David completed their residency in Emergency Medicine at York Hospital / Penn State Emergency Medicine Residency Program from 2002 to 2005. In 2014, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
