Luís Garcez

Luís Garcez is a biostatistician at CHDI Foundation since November 2017, specializing in statistical analysis and data management, including performance metrics calculations and data quality control. Previously, Luís worked as a business intelligence analyst at José de Mello Saúde, focusing on pricing modeling and operational efficiency monitoring. In academia, Luís conducted research for a master's thesis at NOVA Medical School, examining the relationship between cardiology operation access and neurological complications, and served as an intern researcher at the Unidade de Epidemiologia, studying asthma medication adherence in Portugal. Education includes a master's degree in biostatistics from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, a post-graduation in biochemistry for health from NOVA School of Science and Technology, and a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa.
